Hello
Sherrelle Bland, LPC-Resident
Specializing in Adult & Child Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, and Self-Esteem

Welcome! I'm Sherrelle Bland, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Resident with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate the emotional and mental challenges life can bring. Whether you’re an adult or a child, I believe no one should have to go through difficult seasons alone. My goal is to provide compassionate and effective counseling that empowers clients to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
My Approach
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, and challenges faced by both adults and children. These concerns can deeply affect one’s daily functioning—but with support, healing is possible. My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, allowing for a personalized and collaborative treatment experience.

With extensive experience in the mental health field, I’ve served in diverse roles, including Day Treatment Counselor, Intensive In-Home Counselor, Child & Adolescent Case Manager, and Mental Health Behavioral Interventionist. I also have a background in education, having taught Special Education at Franklin Military Academy for three years.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Virginia State University, a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. As an African American woman, I am especially passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health in underserved communities and encouraging others to know that “It’s okay to not be okay.”

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, practicing self-care, and engaging in hobbies like singing, playing the piano, dancing, and photography. These moments help me reset and ensure I show up fully for the individuals I serve.
